 T-Mobile International and Macromedia Announce Strategic Partnership

T-Mobile International and Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) today announced a strategic partnership to bring more expressive multimedia and interactivity to handsets. As a result of the partnership, Macromedia Flash Lite 1.1 will power News Express, T-Mobile’s new mobile multimedia news service initially being launched in the UK, Germany and Austria today. Flash Lite is a version of Macromedia Flash Player specifically developed for mobile phones so that mass market phones can benefit from the power of multimedia Flash experiences.

 Hosted Solutions Acquires Redundant Networks

Hosted Solutions, formerly Springboard Managed Hosting, the Carolina’s leading data center and managed hosting company, has acquired the 14,000 square-foot North Raleigh data center and client base of competitor Redundant Networks, and plans to add at least 10 new IT jobs in the coming months as a result.

 KDDI and Macromedia Announce Strategic Licensing Agreement for Flash Lite

KDDI and Macromedia today announced a strategic licensing agreement that will bring Macromedia Flash Lite 1.1 to KDDI handset manufacturers. Flash Lite will power several applications in KDDI's "au" Service, including the browser-based EZ Portal and portions of the phone's user interface. Manufacturers including SonyEricsson, Sanyo, and Kyocera will deliver Flash enabled handsets for "au" Service in July.

 Newtek Business Services Completes the Acquisition of CrystalTech Web Hosting, Inc.

Newtek Business Services, Inc., a provider of business services and financial products to the small to medium-sized business market, today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of the business CrystalTech Web Hosting, Inc. The aggregate purchase price was $10,000,000 in cash and $250,000 in Newtek common stock with additional payments of up to a total of $1,250,000 in cash and $1,750,000 in Newtek common stock to be made if the business meets certain profitability benchmarks over the next two years.

 Sitestar Acquires Two Internet Companies

Sitestar Corporation today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Virginia Link Internet, a local Internet company in Galax, and Mount Airy Networks LLC, a local Internet company in Mount Airy, N.C. The arrangements consist of acquiring the dial-up Internet customer base and related assets of both companies.
