Macromedia Dreamweaver was inducted into the Jolt Product Hall of Fame because of its continuing role as the leading visual web development tool.
"We felt it was high time, in this post-boom landscape, to honor a tool that's become the standard for front-end web design -- and that's paved the way, indeed, for an entire suite of popular tools that have codified the more esoteric tasks of web development," said Alexandra Weber Morales, editor in chief, Software Development magazine.
An updater to Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 was recently released that offers substantial performance and stability improvements over the prior shipping version. Existing users can update their application to improve its performance. The updater is available for no charge at www.macromedia.com/go/updates. New users will receive the updated version of the software automatically.
As part of a special promotion, users can save $100 when buying or upgrading to Studio MX 2004 before March 31, 2004. For more information on this promotion, visit www.macromedia.com/go/studio100.
