XWebServices is proud to announce the launch of its newest web service, XWebFAQs. XWebFAQs is an XML/SOAP based web service which provides integration and management of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to client applications.

Today's applications, websites in particular, feature some form of Frequently Asked Questions - be it a list of dos and don'ts, a help section, etc. Having this functionality dynamic has been out of reach for many businesses in the past, primarily because of the cost associated with integrating dynamic content on a website. The XWebFAQs web service completely eliminates the need for a data storage solution, reducing hosting fees, eliminating the cost of maintaining a database, while providing all the necessary functionality for a low, flat, monthly fee through a well-established, well-adopted standard of exchanging information - WEB SERVICES.

Some of the features include:

  • 1. Hosted & Managed Data Storage - no need to lease/own a data storage solution of any kind; dynamic data without the need for a Database Engineer.
  • 2. Language Independent - data retrieval methods return an XML string, data manipulation methods accept an XML string as a parameter; parameters for all the methods are either integer or string.
  • 3. Administrative/Publishing Functionality Provided - as with all web services offered by XWebServices.com, an online administrative tool is provided free of charge with registration. The administrative tool for the XWebFAQs web service provides all data manipulation functionality required to add, update and delete FAQ records using a WYSIWYG editor with word processor-like formatting features.
  • 4. Retrieve Only What You Need - the web service's SOAP methods return a specific FAQ record, all FAQ records and "paginated" FAQ records in the reverse chronological order the records were entered into the system. Paginated is the ability to return a specific number of records at a time, similar to how search engines display results (i.e. Google's 10 search results per page).
