Symantec Corp., the global leader in information security, today announced that William Plante, director of worldwide security for Symantec, will speak at a seminar for the Bay Area chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security. The event, entitled “Innovations In Meeting the Threat To Industry and the Homeland,” is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the San Jose Convention Center.

Plante’s presentation, entitled “Shared Opportunities and Shared Risk: Cyber Threats To Public and Private Security,” is scheduled from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. Pacific time, in Plaza Meeting Room 1 and will examine how public and private entities are vulnerable to today’s cyber threats and the proper security measures needed to secure both digital and physical assets.
