AdSense is a program in which publishers place a small amount of code on their websites, and Google automatically delivers a relevant text-ad to each visitor of the webpage. Publishers can also decide how big the ad will be, and whether text or image ads will be shown.
Below all ads, Google traditionally places a link reading “Ads by Google” which links to a Google feedback page.
Currently, the text for some users reads “Ads by Goooooooooooogle.” Why? Google claims to be testing out new branding options. The actual number of ‘o’s within the link has been reported to vary from user to user.
Other new features have also been announced officially by Google. Among these features is a new option to allow publishers to decide whether their ads should “collapse” or disappear in the event that Google cannot deliver a relevant PPC ad. This is an alternative to free ads delivered for non-profits. Google also announced changes to its Site Search service.
