Popular internet property operator iNet Interactive LLC announced Monday their support of the Web Hosting Toy Drive, an effort conceived by members of iNet’s prominent WebHostingTalk community.

Company President Ryan Elledge said that iNet had decided to match funds raised up to $500. A thread discussing the toy drive has also been stickied by WebHostingTalk staff.

"We just felt that it’s definitely a cause worth getting behind," said Elledge.

Web Hosting Toy Drive organizers are thrilled about the recent announcement.

"We are very pleased that iNET has decided to join forces with the 2004 Web Hosting Toy Drive because iNET provides the most active web hosting forum in the world," said Web Hosting Toy Drive founder Paul Mowery.

"It helps greatly in our ability to inform as many people as possible about what [The Web Hosting Toy Drive] is and what our mission is about," added Mowery.

Elledge is confident the toy drive will help unite a very competitive industry.

"This is a unique opportunity for everyone to work together for a good cause… it should become an annual event provided everything works out," said Ellege. "It’s great what you guys are doing, we’re just happy to support it."

Toy drive co-founder Danny Garon hopes the added support will bring in donations.

"WebHostingTalk is the ‘mecca’ for anybody involved in the industry," said Garon. "Getting the support of the owners of WHT will hopefully encourage some of WHT’s 86 thousand members to support this cause."
