The hosting industry’s most widely read magazine announced today that they had made a donation of $1500 to the 2004 Web Hosting Toy Drive on Friday, boosting the gross donation total to over $7,000 from just over a month of donations.
The Web Host Industry Review (http://www.thewhir.com), an Ontario based provider of hosting news and resources made the donation Friday after a similar donation was made by hosting company NDC Host.
The WHIR president and publisher Stephen Mayhew said its management was involved and liked the idea.
The 2004 Web Hosting Toy Drive (http://www.whtoydrive.com) is accepting donations until Tuesday, December 14th. More information is available at its website.
Officials from the US Marine’s Toys for Tots program picked up $5,500 in toys from its headquarters Saturday in Ware, Massachusetts.
All remaining funds and new donations will be used to purchase toys that will be delivered to the Toys for Tots warehouse later this week.

The gross donation total as of 12/12/204 is $7,031.96.
